Pi-Con Gaming Schedule

System: Fate (an implementation of the FUDGE system). GM: michael moceri Players: 2-6
  • Giant Ice House - demo - Friday 19:00 - 20:00

  • Chaos Isle Demo - Saturday 10:00 - 14:00
It seems the Unbalanced scientist, Dr. Zycheck, has gone a little overboard with his experiments in his search for Immortality, and the Isle has become overrun with his Zombi monstrocities. Can you escape from the Isle before being added to their menu? Or perhaps you've got just enough nerve to try to create a vaccine to end the madness. Maybe you'll just end up as a Zombi yourself... Chaos Isle is a mission-based card game (MBCG) that can be played solo, or by 2-6 players using just a single deck. The game is played with 2 six-sided dice and each deck consists of 102 cards, including 6 missions, 6 characters, 20 equipment, and 70 enemy, task and event cards. Each Chaos Isle deck is a separate theme with new missions, characters, equipment and enemies but with the same easy to use gameplay style. The first deck in the series is the Zombi Deck, in which each player takes on the role of one of the characters while attempting to complete his mission before the other players complete theirs, all the while fending off 10 different Zombi enemies. Chaos Isle is easy to learn and quick to play, and provides enough strategy to keep experienced gamers entertained while possessing enough randomness to accomodate beginnners; giving them a chance to win as well.
  • Apognosis - An ascent to intelligence - GURPS RPG - Saturday 14:00 - 16:00
    A change occurs in
    Man's robotic servitors
    Perhaps sentience?

For a hundred years, robots have performed menial tasks for mankind, leaving their masters alone to contemplate the deep questions of the universe. Yesterday, one man became too slothful to do even that. Today, everything in this world will change. System: GURPS GM: Daniel Stubbs Players: 4-6 -- Pre-generated characters will be provided.
  • Cambridge Games - (Glory to Rome, Aapep, Sneeze) - Demos - Saturday 14:00 - 16:00
Glory to Rome is a card-based city building and resource management game with a novel mechanic. Each card may act as a building, a patron, a raw material, or a valuable resource, frequently forcing players into difficult decisions regarding how each card should be used. In addition, much of the game is played from the discard pool, giving players some control over what cards are accessible to opponents. In Aapep you play either the demon Aapep, trying to swallow the sun, or the god Ra, fighting to escape the dark seas of the underworld. Players take turns placing pyramid tiles onto the board -- Aapep swallows the sun if from any edge of the board he can "see" dark sides on the first pyramid tile that is visible from that direction while Ra escapes if from any edge of the board he can "see" light sides on the first pyramid tile visible from that direction. The object of Sneeze is to match Sneeze cards to your opponents' allergies and make them sneeze. Glory to Rome - 2-5 players Aapep - 2-4 players Sneeze - 2-6 players Duration: Glory to Rome - 1 hour Aapep - 20 min Sneeze - 20 min

Teams of characters will compete for victory and glory. Pre-gen characters available. System: D&D 4th Edition GM: Michael Whitehouse Players: 4-64

You are the Emir of a middle eastern city during the time of the crusades. Once you have proven yourself as a true leader, you will gain the respect and allegiance of the people of the middle east 4 players
